Ronaldo Jokes He Won't Retire for Another Decade

Forward for Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo, clarified his earlier remarks made in an interview with journalist Piers Morgan regarding the timeline for his retirement.

Cristiano Ronaldo
Soon for me means in 10 years... No, I'm joking. I'm really enjoying the moment right now. As you know, in football, when you reach some age, you count the months very quick. I feel very good in this moment. I score goals, I still feel quick and sharp. I'm enjoying my game in the national team. But of course, let's be honest. What I mean by soon is probably one or two years.

Previously, Ronaldo stated that the 2026 World Cup would be his final tournament.

Ronaldo began his professional career in 2002 and played for clubs including Sporting CP, Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus. He has won the Ballon d’Or five times, the UEFA Champions League five times, and multiple domestic league titles in England, Spain, and Italy.

In the 2025-26 season, Ronaldo has scored nine goals and provided one assist in eight matches for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
