
Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez included 40-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo in the application for the final stage of the UEFA Nations League, which will be held in June.
The Portuguese will face Germany in the semifinals on June 4, while France and Spain, the reigning tournament champions, will play in the second leg.
Ronaldo has previously won major trophies during his national team career: the European Championship in 2016 and the Nations League in the 2018/19 season.
Meanwhile, according to the Marca newspaper on May 11, the Al-Nassr club has suspended negotiations with Ronaldo to extend his contract, which expires in June 2025.
In the 2024/25 season, Ronaldo played 28 matches in the Saudi Arabian league, scored 23 goals and made three assists. In the AFC Champions League, he played eight matches and scored eight goals. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €12 million.
