Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo is close to extending his contract with Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr. According to insider Nicolo Schira, despite interest from several clubs in recent weeks, the player has decided to remain with his current team.
Sources indicate that negotiations are nearing completion. Ronaldo's new contract with Al-Nassr is expected to last until June 2026, while his current agreement was set to expire this summer.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner has been with the Saudi club since January 2023, scoring 35 goals and providing four assists in all competitions last season.
Al-Nassr finished third in the Saudi Pro League with 70 points, trailing the champions, Al-Ittihad, by 13 points.
Earlier, Marcelo Gallardo, head coach of Argentine club River Plate, mentioned that he had offered Ronaldo a chance to play in the 2025 Club World Cup.
Additionally, former Italy national team coach Luciano Spalletti may take the helm at Saudi Al-Nassr.
