Manchester United and Portugal striker Cristiano Ronaldo, 37, has spoken out about a "chess" photo shoot with PSG and Argentina forward Lionel Messi, 35.
Both players participated in an advertising campaign of the brand Louis Vuitton, posing for a joint photo. The image shows Messi and Ronaldo playing a chess game on a suitcase with the lid painted to look like a chessboard.

It was a campaign I wanted to be a part of, a campaign I had been looking for a long time. I take pride in it. This is my fifth world championship. I'm optimistic.
The Louis Vuitton advertising campaign was the first to involve both Messi and Ronaldo. Nevertheless, the players participated in the photo shoot separately from each other, so the final photo was compiled.
