Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah removed all mentions of the club from his social media accounts and replaced his main photo with a picture from a vacation with his children.
This was his reaction to head coach Arne Slot’s decision not to include him in the starting lineup for the Champions League group stage match against German side Eintracht.
Salah came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute but failed to make any notable impact. Liverpool crushed their opponent 5-1 with almost no involvement from him.
Salah’s goalless streak now stands at six matches, during which the team suffered four defeats. In the current season, the 33-year-old Egyptian has played eight Premier League games, scoring two goals and providing two assists. Salah’s contract with Liverpool runs until summer 2027, and his market value is estimated at 45 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
