Istanbul's Fenerbahçe is looking to acquire midfielder Hakan Çalhanoğlu from Milan's Inter, according to journalist Nicolo Schira on social media.
The source claims that the Italians plan to receive between €25-30 million for the Turkish footballer. Galatasaray had previously offered €10 million for the midfielder in early July, but the Nerazzurri rejected that proposal.
Çalhanoğlu is 31 years old and has never played for local clubs. Born in Germany, he studied in the Karlsruhe football academy before being invited to the senior team. Later, he played for Hamburg, Bayer, and Milan. He has been with Inter since 2021, and his contract with the club runs until the summer of 2027. Transfermarkt estimates the player's market value at €30 million.
