Senegal defeats Ecuador in the groups stage match of World Cup 2022

Senegal defeated the national team of Ecuador 2-1 in the third round of the group stage match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which took place on November 29.

The score in the meeting was opened at the end of the first half. Watford winger Ismaïla Sarr converted the spot-kick. Ecuador got back into the game in the 67th minute thanks to a goal by Moisés Caicedo, and three minutes later Senegal's captain Kalidou Koulibaly put his team in front again, putting the match to bed.

Ecuador vs Senegal - 1-2 (0-1, 1-1).

Goals: Caicedo (67) - Sarr (44, from the penalty spot), Koulibaly (70).

Thanks to this victory, Senegal secured their participation in the World Cup playoffs with six points. Ecuador is third in Group A with four points.
