According to Telecomasia.net, English Championship club Southampton has offered a preliminary personal contract to Krasnodar and Armenia national team midfielder Eduard Spertsyan as part of a potential transfer. The parties are discussing the contract terms and details.
Our sources say head coach Will Still is interested in the transfer; a year ago, when he was in charge of Lens, he also wanted to sign Spertsyan. Telecomasia.net reports that Lens failed to reach an agreement with Krasnodar in the summer of 2024 because of the transfer fee.
Negotiations are now at an advanced stage, but the player has not given a final answer about moving to England. Earlier, agent Vadim Oganyan told Sport24 that Southampton are ready to make Spertsyan a key figure in the project.
Spertsyan is a product of Krasnodar’s academy. He has played 148 matches, scored 45 goals and provided 30 assists for the team. According to Transfermarkt, the player’s market value is 25 million euros.
