New Juventus head coach Luciano Spalletti shared his initial thoughts following his appointment at the Turin club. He said that being part of Juventus is a fantastic experience, given the club’s rich history.
Spalletti expressed respect for his predecessor, Igor Tudor, praising the high level of professionalism within the squad Tudor left behind.
Luciano Spalletti, quoted by Juventus’s media service
If I had not believed that this team has potential, despite difficult moments, why should I have accepted an eight-month contract? I believe I can do a nice job with them, and I see the chance to fix some things. Goals are fundamental because you need goals to win games. Attacking football is another important quality, but the essential thing is to be a group that understands what to do on the pitch in different circumstances.
Prior to joining Juventus, Spalletti managed the Italian national team from September 2023 to June 2025, and before that, he coached Napoli.
After nine matchdays in the current Serie A season, Juventus sit in seventh place with 15 points. In the next round, the Turin side will face Cremonese on the road on November 1 at 22:45 GMT+3.
