The media service of Sporting responded to the news about the club's interest in Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov of Paris Saint-Germain.
Earlier, Sport24 reported that Spanish club Valencia, as well as Portuguese clubs Braga and Sporting, are considering the possibility of loaning Safonov during the winter transfer window.
