According to Daily Record, former Liverpool midfielder and captain, now coach Steven Gerrard, has turned down a €11.4 million offer to leave Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq freely in January 2025.
The source indicates that Gerrard aimed to avoid reputational risks in case Al Ettifaq faced relegation from the Saudi Pro League.
It's worth noting that the 44-year-old has previously managed England's Aston Villa, Scotland's Rangers, and youth teams at Liverpool.
Currently, Al Ettifaq sit in seventh place in the Saudi Arabian league table, accumulating 43 points after 30 matches.
Previously, Steven Gerrard claimed that the Saudi Pro League will soon compete with the English Premier League.
