Key candidates to replace Xabi Alonso at the head coach position at Bayer Leverkusen were named.
According to journalist Nicolo Schira's social media updates, three names on the list of potential successors are Imanol Alguacil, Cesc Fabregas, and Erik ten Hag.
Cesc Fabregas has been the head coach of Italian club Como since the summer of last year. Under his leadership, the club, which recently entered Serie A, is currently 11th in the league standings. Imanol Alguacil has been managing Real Sociedad since December 2018 and has already announced his departure at the end of the current season. Erik ten Hag has been a free agent since October of last year after being dismissed from Manchester United.
There have been previous reports regarding the potential exit of Carlo Ancelotti from his role as head coach of Real Madrid. The Brazilian national team and Saudi club Al-Hilal have expressed interest in the Italian coach, with Xabi Alonso emerging as a leading candidate to replace Ancelotti at the Spanish club.
