On July 7, L'Equipe published news that Saudi Pro League club Al-Ahli is trying to convince Messi to join them as a free agent.
Messi's current contract with Inter Miami runs until the end of December 2025. In the current MLS season, the forward has played 14 regular-season matches, scoring 12 goals and providing six assists, along with one goal in four matches of the club's World Cup.
