Manchester United have reached an agreement with Brentford for the transfer of Cameroonian forward Bryan Mbeumo. The deal will see the Red Devils pay a base fee of €75.4 million, plus an additional €7 million in bonuses, according to The Athletic.
Sources indicate that Manchester United will pay the main transfer fee in four installments. Mbeumo chose Manchester United as his future club, and both parties are expected to officially announce the deal soon.
At 25 years old, Mbeumo was born in France but has Cameroonian roots. He has played for the youth national team, representing the "Indomitable Lions" at the senior level, with six goals in 22 matches.
Mbeumo has been with Brentford since 2019, where he has made 242 appearances, scored 70 goals, and provided 51 assists. Transfermarkt estimates him at €55 million.
Recent reports also indicated that Chelsea may undergo a major player sale this summer, with potential departures including Joao Felix, Ben Chilwell, Axel Disasi, Lesley Ugochukwu, Renato Veiga, and Armando Broja.
