According to The Sun, Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur is looking to swoop in on forward Bryan Mbeumo of Brentford and the Cameroon national team, currently targeted by Manchester United.
The report states that Spurs are prepared to invest £60 million (around €71.4 million) in the 25-year-old striker. A significant aspect that could sway Mbeumo in favor of joining Tottenham is their participation in the UEFA Champions League for the 2025/2026 season, following their triumph in the Europa League.
Additionally, Tottenham's interest in attracting Brentford's Danish head coach Thomas Frank to fill the void left by Ange Postecoglou could further facilitate the transfer of the Cameroonian forward. It is also noted that Mbeumo has already agreed to personal contract terms with Manchester United and wants to become a player for the Red Devils.
In the 2024/2025 season, Mbeumo featured in all 38 Premier League matches for Brentford, scoring 20 goals and providing eight assists. Mbeumo's current contract with the London team expires at the end of June 2026. Transfermarkt estimated the market value of the forward at 55 million euros.
