Tottenham Set New Club Record for Home Defeats in a Calendar Year

On Saturday, December 20, Tottenham Hotspur fell to Liverpool (1-2) in a 17th-round Premier League match. This loss marked the 11th home defeat for Spurs within a single calendar year.

According to Stata Football, this is the worst result in Tottenham's Premier League history, as the club had never previously lost more than ten home games in a year. Furthermore, the London side has managed only 15 points out of a possible 54 at their home stadium this season.

After 17 rounds, Tottenham sit in 13th place in the Premier League table with 22 points. Their next match is away against Crystal Palace on December 28.
