The game between MK Alger and Magra ended in a goalless draw, resulting in MK Alger being crowned the national champions. After the final whistle, part of the barrier in the upper section of the stadium collapsed, causing fans to fall.
Injured fans were quickly transported to the hospital. The championship trophy presentation was postponed, as players, coaches, and club staff also went to the hospital to donate blood for the injured.
The country's president and club officials extended their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to those hurt.
