Turkish club Galatasaray is showing interest in Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah and is considering the possibility of signing him during the upcoming winter transfer window, reports Nefes media outlet.
According to the source, the Istanbul club intends to sign the 33-year-old Egyptian during the winter window. Despite Mohamed Salah’s current contract with Liverpool running until the end of next season, the club is reportedly open to considering a sale.
Liverpool’s management believes that Salah’s time at the club is gradually coming to an end and is ready to consider offers to get the maximum possible fee for the star while it is still possible.
Interestingly, Mohamed Salah himself was impressed by the atmosphere at one of the UEFA Champions League matches against Galatasaray. He supposedly asked German midfielder Ilkay Gündogan if the Turkish team's home games always had this energy.
Mohamed Salah has played for Liverpool since July 2017. This season, he has scored three goals and provided three assists in ten matches across all competitions. His contract with the club is valid until summer 2027. Transfermarkt estimates his market value at 50 million euros.
After eight rounds in the current Turkish league season, Galatasaray have gathered 22 points and occupy first place in the standings.
