UEFA Excludes Crystal Palace from Europa League Competition

The press service of the UEFA (Union of European Football Associations) has officially announced that Crystal Palace has been excluded from participation in the Europa League for the 2025/2026 season.

The Eagles had secured their right to compete in the next edition of this prestigious tournament by winning the FA Cup, defeating Manchester City in the final.

Reports indicate that UEFA has accepted Crystal Palace's application to participate in the Europa Conference League instead. This exclusion has to do with multi-club ownership involving the Eagles and the French club Lyon, which violated the criteria outlined in Article 5.01 of the UEFA competition regulations.

It is noteworthy that Lyon will still compete in the Europa League, as their application to UEFA has been accepted.
