Álvarez is First Player to Make a Treble and Win World Cup in the One Season

Manchester City's Argentine striker Julián Álvarez has become the first player in history to make a treble with a club and win the World Cup with the national team in the same season.

In the 2022/23 season with Manchester City, Álvarez won the English Championship and the FA Cup, as well as the Champions League. The 23-year-old forward won the World Cup in December 2022, playing for the Argentinian national team.

Manchester City beat Italy's Inter in the Champions League final on 10 June. The encounter ended with a 1-0 score.

Álvarez joined Manchester City in the winter of 2022. He played 49 games for the Citizens in the 2022/23 season, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists.
