UOL Esporte: Al-Hilal Coach Jorge Jesus Set to Lead Brazil National Team

According to UOL Esporte, the leading candidate for the position of head coach of the Brazil national team is Portuguese specialist Jorge Jesus, who currently coaches Al-Hilal.

Reports suggest that the 70-year-old Jesus is the top choice for the Brazilian Football Federation. However, his appointment is not expected to happen at once. It is expected that Jesus will finish working at Al-Hilal after the Asian Champions League final scheduled for May 3.A contract extension depends on the club's continued championship run, yet Al-Ittihad's pressure might precipitate his departure.

A significant factor in the negotiations will be his impressive salary in Saudi Arabia, exceeding 10 million euros per year, as the Brazil national team may not be able to match those terms. Nevertheless, the Brazilian side is optimistic about concluding negotiations successfully.

Jesus already has experience in Brazil, having managed Flamengo from 2019 to 2020, where he led the team to victories in the Brazilian Championship, the Super Cup, the Copa Libertadores, and the Recopa Sudamericana.
