USA to Host New Expanded Club World Cup in 2025

The FIFA Council has unanimously decided to name the United States as the site of the new and expanded FIFA Club World Cup, featuring 32 teams, to be held in 2025.

It is noted that the selection process took into account infrastructure and service requirements as well as the broader strategic goals of the tournament.

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be the pinnacle of elite professional men’s club football, and with the required infrastructure in place together with a massive local interest, the United States is the ideal host to kick off this new, global tournament.

FIFA wrote in a statement on the organization's official website.

Recall, the 2026 FIFA World Cup will be held in North America. The World Cup will be hosted by Mexico, the United States and Canada.
