The Nigerian national team was fantastic at the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations. Overall, I believe that there are no simple teams in this tournament. Group stage games are always very difficult, so we need to win as many matches as possible to reach the next round. Yes, I believe that our national team are the favorites of the tournament, given our attacking power.
At the end of the African Cup of Nations group stage, Nigeria drew with Equatorial Guinea (1-1) and also beat Cote d'Ivoire (1-0) and Guinea-Bissau (1-0). The Nigerians finished second in the group with seven points and will move on to the playoff stage of the tournament.
