
Tottenham Hotspur center back Micky van de Ven scored in the club’s 4-0 victory over Copenhagen in Matchday 4 of the UEFA Champions League league phase. This goal marked his sixth of the season across all competitions.
The 24-year-old van de Ven has now scored more goals than any other center back in Europe’s top five leagues this season. His tally includes three goals in the Premier League, two in the Champions League, and one in the UEFA Super Cup match against Paris Saint-Germain.
So far this season, the Dutch international has made 15 appearances for Spurs across all competitions. Van de Ven joined Tottenham from Germany’s VfL Wolfsburg in the summer of 2023. His contract with the London club runs through June 30, 2029. Transfermarkt currently values him at €53.8 million.
After four matches, Tottenham sit seventh in the Champions League league standings with eight points. In Matchday 5, the English side will travel to face Paris Saint-Germain on November 26, with kickoff set for 23:00 GMT+3.
