
Villarreal’s management expressed dissatisfaction with La Liga’s decision to forbid holding the 17th-round match of the Spanish championship against Barcelona in Miami, USA, according to COPE.
On October 21, La Liga’s leadership refused the match to be held abroad due to mass protests by league players. As a result, the game will take place at Villarreal’s home stadium as originally planned.
According to the source, the “Yellow Submarine” management is extremely displeased with La Liga’s handling of the situation. The club believes the league showed shortsightedness and failed to resolve the conflict effectively.
Recently, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) approved holding the match in Miami. However, the Spanish Players’ Association (AFE) opposed this decision and organized large protests during the 9th round of La Liga.
