Barcelona's press service announced a new contract with head coach Xavi. The new contract runs until the summer of 2025, and also provides an option to extend the agreement for another season.
Xavi, 43, began his coaching career at Qatar's Al Sadd. At the end of 2021, he became head coach of Barcelona, winning the Spanish championship and the Super Cup of the country with the team.
Earlier, it was reported that Xavi was among the nominees for the title of best coach in 2023 according to FIFA.
September 19, Barcelona beat Antwerp with a score of 5:0 in the first round of the group stage of the Champions League. Xavi called this match the best in all work at the club.
