Barcelona striker Lamine Yamal, 17 years old, was recognized as the best young footballer of the last season in the Spanish La Liga. This was reported by the media service of the tournament.
The award is given to players under the age of 23 years. In the voting Yamal beat Pedri from Barcelona, Jude Bellingham and Arda Guler from Real Madrid, Fabio Silva and Alberto Moleiro from Las Palmas, as well as Diego Lopez from Valencia.
In the 2024/25 La Liga season, Yamal played in 35 matches, scored nine goals and made 15 assists. His contract with Barcelona runs until the summer of 2031 and his market value is estimated at €180 million, according to Transfermarkt.
