That defeat is a very disappointing result for Vojvodina. Zenit demonstrated how strong and powerful they are. Vojvodina is the third team in Serbia after Partizan and Crvena Zvezda. Zenit is a top team. They are the main favorites for the title in the Russian League. In Serbia, Zenit would become champions. Crvena Zvezda could potentially challenge them, but it would be very difficult for the other teams to play against them.
On July 13, the blue-white-blue team faced a heavy defeat at home, losing to Zenit 7-1. Goals for Zenit came from Mateo Cassierra, Douglas Santos, and Gustavo Mantuan, while Luiz Henrique and Maksim Glushenkov each scored twice.
