Former Chicago Defender Wyatt Kalynuk Gains Interest from Ak Bars

According to Telecomasia.net, Canadian defenseman Wyatt Kalynuk has caught the eye of Ak Bars.

Last season, the 28-year-old Kalynuk played in Finland's Liiga for Pelicans. In 59 games during the Finnish league, he scored 33 points (10 goals and 23 assists). Kalynuk spent two seasons in the NHL with the Chicago Blackhawks, playing 26 regular-season games and earning 9 points (4 goals and 5 assists).

Last season, Ak Bars Kazan finished fifth in the FONBET KHL Eastern Conference standings with 87 points. In the playoffs, the Kazan team reached the quarterfinals but lost to Dynamo Moscow 2-4 in the series.
