The National Hockey League (NHL) club Vegas Golden Knights have added Canadian goaltender Carter Hart to their main roster. Vegas Hockey reports this news.
In October, Vegas signed a two-year deal with the 27-year-old Hart, which provides for a $2 million salary per season. Hart became eligible to sign contracts with NHL teams after he was acquitted in a sexual assault case along with four other Canadian hockey players. The case was initially brought in 2018 when the accused were playing for the Canadian national junior team.
The acquitted hockey players were unable to sign contracts until October 15 and were not eligible to play in NHL regular season games until December 1. Еhis reason, Hart was on the roster of the Henderson Silver Knights, Vegas' farm club, until the end of November.
On Tuesday, Vegas are playing Chicago in a regular season game.
