The USA competitor Lee Kiefer has won the gold medal in the individual women’s foil fencing. She beat Inna Deriglazova, who won the silver medal for Russia.
Lee beat Inna by a score of 15-13 to claim the medal. Lee also became the first American, man or woman to claim a gold medal in individual foil fencing. Inna won the 2016 Olympics Gold in foil fencing after winning the silver during the 2012 Olympics.
