Top Brazilian heavyweight fighter Jailton Almeida has announced that he will face Russian Alexander Volkov in his next bout at one of the organization's fall events.

Good news are comming… Volkov already agreed. I said close to his home in Abu Dhabi, he said in my home in Brazil, both said october or november, so…lets go! I like the fight, he likes the fight and UFC likes the fight!
Almeida's last appearance in the octagon was in January 2025 at UFC 311, where he secured a victory over Serghei Spivac by technical knockout in the first round. His record now stands at 22 wins and 3 losses.
Volkov last fought against Ciryl Gane in December 2024 at UFC 310. In that match, which went the distance, Alexander lost by split decision. His record is currently 38 wins and 11 losses.
