Russian fighter Khasan Magomedsharipov, in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net, spoke about the attitude toward Dagestani fighters in American promotions.

I think Dagestan will always have top fighters. It’s a place with constant competition. It was really tough for the older generation, but thanks to them the sport became more popular. American leagues have heard about Dagestani fighters, so they sign us. Respect to the older generation. In the PFL it’s not enough for a guy from Dagestan to just win. You need to win in a very impressive way, to surprise everyone. American fighters don’t face such expectations. It’s a norm for them when Dagestani guys win.
Magomedsharipov has 10 wins and no losses. In June 2024 he beat Tyler Mathison by unanimous decision.
