Abe Kawa, manager of former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski, has confirmed the Belarusian fighter's readiness to accept a challenge issued by popular blogger Jack Doherty.
Following a backstage altercation with Arlovski at the Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua boxing event in Miami on December 20, Doherty expressed a desire to organize a fight between Andrei and his bodyguard.
We absolutely accept the challenge.
According to the manager, the team is currently trying to contact Doherty to discuss the details and finalize the bout.
Arlovski is scheduled to face American Ben Rothwell on February 8 in Philadelphia at BKFC KnuckleMania VI for the BKFC heavyweight championship. This will be the third meeting between the two. Arlovski won their first encounter via third-round knockout at an Affliction event in 2008 and their second match via unanimous decision at UFC on ESPN 4 in 2019. Arlovski's MMA record stands at 34 wins, 24 losses with two no-contests, while Rothwell has 39 wins and 14 losses.
