The current UFC heavyweight champion, Britain's Tom Aspinall, stated that he is open to having a boxing match against Cameroonian Francis Ngannou.

I couldn’t try to be a world champion. For me to be 33 and then think I’m going to win a world title in boxing is unrealistic. I reckon I could have a couple of, like, not freak show fights but big fights, you know what I mean? I wouldn’t mind boxing an MMA fighter. Francis Ngannou? I think that would be good, I like it.
Aspinall last stepped into the octagon against Ciryl Gane in October of this year at UFC 321. That bout was stopped in the first round due to eye pokes from Ciryl and was declared a no-contest because Tom was unable to continue the fight. His record is 15 wins, three losses, and one no-contest.
Ngannou last fought Renan Ferreira in October 2024 at a PFL event. Francis won that fight via knockout in the first round. His record stands at 18 wins and three losses.
