Belarusian MMA Fighter Belaz Tells Why He Delayed Signing With UFC

Belarusian MMA fighter Vladislav Kovalev, ahead of his second fight with Alexander Shlemenko, told Telecomasia.net in an exclusive interview why he put off the plans to sign a UFC contract this year.

Earlier, Belaz said he was offered a spot on Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) in October. Winners of DWCS can earn UFC contracts.

In the first half of this year, Belaz had said he expected to become a UFC fighter before the end of 2025. He also wanted to fight for the Top Dog title and rematch Vyacheslav Vasilevsky.
