American media conglomerate Viacom, the owner of Bellator MMA, is close to an agreement with the PFL league, which is ready to acquire the asset. This is reported by sources familiar with the situation.
At the moment there is no information about whether Bellator will remain a separate organization or PFL will completely absorb it.
Recall that Bellator 299 will take place in Dublin on September 23, with a middleweight title fight between Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards as the main event.
In his last fight, which took place at Bellator 290 in February 2023, Eblеn defeated Anatoly Tokov by unanimous decision. He has 13 wins and no losses under his belt.
Edwards defeated Gegard Mousasi by unanimous decision at Bellator 296 in May 2023. He has 12 wins and two losses.
