American UFC middleweight fighter Bo Nickal has signed a contract with Real American Freestyle, a wrestling league led by wrestling legend Hulk Hogan.
Bo Nickal in an interview with Ariel Helwani
At the end of the day, my UFC contract is me fighting MMA with them, and I think at the same time, for me to compete in wrestling, you see a lot of guys do jiu-jitsu matches or whatever it is. Realistically with fighting, I've been getting two fights a year. But I'm 29 years old, in my prime, and I'm just fired up to compete.
Nickal plans to participate in the first event of Real American Freestyle, scheduled for August 30 in Cleveland. Bo is a three-time NCAA champion from Penn State University.
Notably, in May 2025, Nickal suffered his first loss in MMA, losing to Reinier de Ridder by technical knockout in the second round at UFC on ESPN 67. His record stands at seven wins and one loss.
