Bryce Mitchell shot up the featherweight rankings with six straight victories, following a 2018 debut. A loss to Ilia Topuria at UFC 282 set off a string of fights in which "Thug Nasty" alternated between wins and losses. He beat Dan Ige and Kron Gracie in that run, while dropping fights against Josh Emmett and Jean Silva. Last April, the southpaw from Arkansas was submitted by Silva at UFC 314. 30-year-old Mitchell once appeared in The Ultimate Fighter: Undefeated.

Said Nurmagomedov
The Russian fighter has dropped two decisions in his last three, losing to Vinicius Oliveira in Riyadh last February to go with a 2023 defeat to Jonathan Martinez. Said Nurmagomedov, who missed the entirety of 2024, had submitted Muin Gafurov in late 2023. The 33-year-old, a former AFC bantamweight champion, reeled off four victories from 2020 to 2022, prior to losing to Jonathan Martinez. The Dagestani-born Russian has only four losses in his career.
