Current UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev reached out to Telegram founder and entrepreneur Pavel Durov with an offer for him to be in his corner for his next bout.

Chimaev last fought Dricus du Plessis in August of this year at UFC 319. Khamzat won that fight by unanimous decision and captured the UFC middleweight championship belt. He holds a record of 15 wins and zero losses.
Chimaev’s UFC debut took place in July 2020. His opponent was Wales’ John Phillips. That fight concluded in Khamzat’s favor via rear-naked choke in the second round.
