Former two-division UFC champion Amanda Nunes hopes to fight current women's bantamweight champion Kayla Harrison in December. This was announced by Nunes' coach, Din Thomas.
Din Thomas on UFC Unfiltered podcast
Me and Amanda, she’s putting a team together. We are cooking now and she’s hoping for December. She’s healthy. No injuries. Just as strong and as clean as possible…The fact that she knows how capable Kayla is of beating her excites her even more.
Kayla Harrison last fought in June 2025 at UFC 316, where she secured a victory over Julianna Peña by submission in the second round. Her record stands at 19 wins and one loss.
Nunes has not stepped into the octagon since June 2023, when she defeated Irene Aldana by unanimous decision at UFC 289. She holds a professional record of 23 wins and five losses.
