Former two-division UFC champion Daniel Cormier described a recent conflict with welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena that arose from an Australian fighter’s social media post.
Cormier said that during one of his commentary broadcasts a post appeared online that read “There should be a button to mute DC’s mic.” The Australian reposted that message, which upset Cormier.

Jack Della Maddalena actually was the one to retweet it. I texted him, I go, ‘Jack, wrong bro, what’s up. Why Jack’? The champ just wrote back, ‘My bad, DC, it was a bad take’.
Della Maddalena will next face Islam Makhachev at UFC 322 on November 16 in New York, USA.
He last fought Belal Muhammad at UFC 315 in May, winning by unanimous decision to claim the UFC welterweight title. His record stands at 18 wins and two losses.
