Cortes-Acosta Targets December Fight with Blaydes

Waldo Cortes-Acosta, ranked No. 6 in the UFC heavyweight division, shared his plans following his victory over divisional No. 9 Ante Delija.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta
I’m ready for the fighting, this December, and UFC put me on the card, any card I can do it. I want to fight with Curtis Blaydes and I want a title shot. I want [Aspinall and Gane] to rematch and [I’ll] be available for the winner and a title shot.

On November 2 at UFC Vegas 110, Cortes-Acosta won by first-round knockout.

Prior to this, Cortes-Acosta last competed in August 2025 at UFC Fight Night 257, where he lost to Sergei Pavlovich by unanimous decision. His professional record now stands at 15 wins and two losses.
