UFC President Dana White assessed the possibility of Irish fighter Conor McGregor and American fighter Jon Jones participating in a UFC event at the White House.
Dana White
I don’t know [if McGregor and Jones will be on the same card]. In a year, who knows what the world will look like in a year?… The dream main event right now would be Aspinall vs. Jones. McGregor has gotten himself to a point where he is and will be, whether he stops fighting or not, one of the biggest superstars in sports, period.
McGregor's last fight was against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he suffered a loss by technical knockout after being unable to continue due to a leg injury. His record stands at 22 wins and 6 losses.
Jones's last fight took place against Stipe Miocic in November 2024 at UFC 309, where he won by technical knockout in the third round. He had previously announced his retirement from professional fighting and has a record of 28 wins, 1 loss, and one no contest.
