The UFC press office has announced a matchup between top featherweight fighters Diego Lopes and Jean Silva, scheduled for September 14 in San Antonio, Texas, as the main event of UFC Fight Night 259 (Noche UFC).
Diego Lopes last stepped into the octagon in April 2025 during UFC 314, where he lost to Alexander Volkanovski by unanimous decision. He has a record of 26 wins and seven losses.
Jean Silva achieved victory over Bryce Mitchell by submission in the second round at UFC 314. He currently holds a record of 16 wins and two losses.
