
American UFC welterweight Colby Covington commented on the third consecutive loss of former welterweight champion, Brit Leon Edwards.

I think he should probably retire. I think he lost the hunger. I made him so much money when we fought. I just don’t think he has that hunger and the spark anymore. So I’d like to see him hang it up, and do something else.
At the UFC 322 event on November 16 in New York, USA, Edwards lost to Carlos Prates by knockout in the second round.
Leon Edwards' previous fight took place in March 2025 at UFC Fight Night 255, where he lost to Sean Brady by submission in the fourth round. His record stands at 22 wins and six losses. One fight was declared a no-contest.
Carlos Prates last stepped into the Octagon in August 2025 at UFC 319, defeating Geoff Neal by knockout in the first round. His record is 23 wins and seven losses.
