Former UFC heavyweight champion and American actor Randy Couture was involved in a serious car accident during a test session at the Flying H drag strip in Kansas, USA.
According to reports from TMZ and Drag Illustrated, Couture was practicing for his first race in the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) when his car crashed. He sustained severe injuries, including first and second-degree burns, and was airlifted to a burn center for emergency treatment.
Currently, Couture's condition has been reported as stable.
Couture last competed in the octagon against Lyoto Machida in April 2011 at UFC 129. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended with Couture losing by knockout. He has achieved 19 victories and 11 defeats over his career.
