Former UFC fighter Alex Garcia was arrested in Canada as part of a large-scale police operation targeting organized crime. Law enforcement reports that the raid took place earlier this week and resulted in the arrest of three individuals.
During the searches, police found and seized over 107 kilograms of drugs, as well as a large amount of cash – $223,000. Additionally, three firearms and two vehicles were confiscated, which investigators believe may have been used in criminal activities.
Garcia competed in the UFC from December 2013 to October 2018. In his last bout in the American promotion, he lost to Court McGee by unanimous decision.
Garcia last fought Abdul-Rakhman Dzhanaev in March 2020 at ACA 105. That fight ended in a loss for Alex via technical knockout in the second round. His record is 15 wins and eight losses.
