New Zealand fighter Dan Hooker, a teammate of UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski, is confident that neither Movsar Evloev nor Lerone Murphy will be the next challenger for the Australian.

I feel like 100 percent whoever gets their hand raised in this fight will be fighting for a title because they're the most exciting guys. I hear Lopes moves the needle. I know Silva and the Fighting Nerds are doing an incredible job. Winner of this fight gets the title shot, and a lot of people will say, 'Oh, there are some other guys out there.' Murphy, I've been told he's too boring. Movsar Evloev, no one cares. Aljamain Sterling, UFC hates you, my friend. Sorry, the winner of this fight is getting the title shot.
Recall that the fight of Diego Lopes and Jean Silva is scheduled to take place on the night of September 14 at UFC Fight Night 259 in San Antonio.
Volkanovski last fought Diego Lopes in April at UFC 314, winning by unanimous decision. Volkanovski’s record stands at 27 wins and 4 losses.
Volkanovski made his UFC debut in November 2016 against Japan’s Yusuke Kasuya, winning by technical knockout in the second round.
