UFC light heavyweight champion and former middleweight champion, Brazilian Alex Pereira, declared his intention to succeed in the boxing ring.
Alex Pereira on the Connect Cast podcast, quoted by MMA Mania
I am definitely going to box. Look, I made it clear that I want to fight boxing. Same thing, right? When I got into kickboxing, they didn't believe me. MMA, same thing. Boxing, they'll say the same thing. But I'm used to it, I don't care. I just want to go out there and fight. It's not about aiming for more money. I like a challenge. I want to be the best.
Pereira last fought in the octagon against Magomed Ankalaev on October 5 in the main event of UFC 320 in Las Vegas, USA. Alex won that fight by technical knockout in the first round and regained the championship belt. His record includes 13 wins and three losses.
